Coming soon. For M&A advisors in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

From data room to deck.

Deckwire reads annual accounts, Excel models and Word documents and turns them into slides in your firm's own PowerPoint template. Native tables and charts, and every number keeps its source.

We only use your details to keep you updated about Deckwire. See our privacy notice.

Every number arrives with its source.

No retyping. Each value is read where it stands and stays linked to that spot: page, line or cell.

Where the time in a CIM goes.

A CIM is built under deadline pressure, often late at night. Much of that work isn't analysis but copying, formatting and checking.

30to40%1
of analyst time on a CIM goes into formatting and copying numbers.
200+1
numbers per CIM are copied by hand from reports and models onto slides.
8to10h2
per banker per month saved just by automating simple formatting tasks.
  1. 1Deckwire estimate from working as an M&A analyst in Zurich; not a representative survey.
  2. 2Evalueserve, Pitchready case study at a US bank: 8 to 10 hours per banker per month from automated routine pitchbook tasks.

Check it yourself.

Alpine Präzision AG. Fictional company, fictional figures.

Reading the template, parsing the sources, building the slide: a fictional run in 30 seconds.

Watch the full run

Inside your template, not next to it.

Deckwire fills the masters and layouts your firm already has. What comes out is an ordinary PowerPoint file your team keeps working on.

  1. 1Slide master

Your firm's colours, fonts, logo and footer, exactly as they are in the template.

  2. 2Layout

Your template's placeholders decide where the title, table and footnotes go.

  3. 3Tables and charts

Native PowerPoint objects. Charts keep their embedded workbook.

  4. 4Text

Title, source line and footnotes as normal text boxes. No images, nothing locked.

One whole run, to watch.

Read the template, parse the sources, calculate, build the slide. The counters keep score, and the engine time shows how short it really takes.

The principles we build Deckwire on. Before you trust us with a live mandate, we put them in writing.

Data flow and a short version for your IT

What partners ask.

Which files can Deckwire read?

PDF, Excel, Word and existing PowerPoint decks: annual accounts, financial models, management material, earlier decks.

How does Deckwire handle Excel models?

It takes values as the model shows them: the stored result with the cell's number format. Excel is never recalculated. If Deckwire can't render a format exactly, it stops and names the cell instead of guessing.

Does Deckwire change numbers?

No. A number appears on the slide as it appears in the source. Calculated values such as margin or growth come with their calculation, and when two sources disagree it is flagged, not quietly decided.

What happens to think-cell?

think-cell objects in your template stay untouched. Deckwire itself creates native PowerPoint charts, not think-cell charts.

Which languages does Deckwire write?

German in Swiss spelling, and English.

Do we need a plug-in?

No. What comes out is an ordinary .pptx that opens in PowerPoint on Mac and Windows.

Does Deckwire write the equity story?

No. Deckwire fills slides with figures and standard text from the sources. The story and the judgement stay with you.

Where does our data live?

In Switzerland, with Microsoft Azure in the Switzerland North region, the language model included. How it is built.

Who's behind it

Portrait of Rinor Abazi

“As an M&A analyst in Zurich I saw how many hours of a CIM go into copying numbers and fixing slide formatting instead of the story. Deckwire is the tool I wanted back then.”
